The fifth international conference Taboo - Transgression - Transcendence in Art & Science will take place September 27–29, 2023 in Valletta, Malta. Approximately 170 speakers from more than 30 countries focused (a) on questions about the nature of the forbidden and about the aesthetics of liminality, and (b) on the opening of spaces for creative transformation in the merging of science and art.

Hari Marini, Associate Professor of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at the Ionian University, participated in Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space 2023 that was held in Prague, June 2023. Hari Marini gave a talk in the panel of PQ Talks 2023: “Feminist Scenographies”, which explored how feminist scenography is expressed in built environments and in different urban geographies.

The aim of the Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival ICONA 2023 is to present the best from the field of animation from all around the world. The festival also aims to preserve and help develop the cultural heritage of animated film, contribute to creation of new films, provide ground for potential international co-productions and encourages dialogue between professionals, filmmakers and the public.
