Maya Minder will present her artistic work as part of the course “Exploring Interventions in Nature Through Artistic Expression II: Fermentation Art,” where she will also conduct a workshop. She is known for her innovative work that explores the intersection of art, food, and fermentation processes. Her practice often involves creating installations and experiences that highlight the cultural and sensory aspects of fermentation, transforming it into a medium of artistic expression. Minder's work focuses on the relationship between humans, nature, and the fermentation process, emphasizing sustainability and the importance of traditional methods.

Maya Minder lives and works in Zurich. She studied Art history at the University of Zurich and MA Fine Arts at Zurich University of Arts and is the co-founder of the Open Science Lab at ZW Zurich. Exhibitions and grants: Kanazawa 21st Ce museum, Kunsthalle Zurich, Kunsthaus Langenthal, Pro Helvetia, Werkbeitrag 2018 + 2020, KADIST AWARD 2017 (nomination). She held many workshops and persentation at ZHAW, MetaPhorest, Tokyo, Japan, Ars Electronica, By Art Matters, Houngzhou, Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), Collegium Helveticum, Nachhaltigkeitswoche ETH Zürich, F+F Zürich. Minder is also a curator and organizer of projects and festivals independent and in co-production with the International Hackteria Society.
