Call for the admission of foreign students to the Ionian University for the academic year 2025-2026

The Board of Governance of the Ionian University decided on the announcement for the admission of foreign-alien students to the Department of Music Studies, in the Music Performance and to the Department of Audio & Visual Arts, Undergraduate Study Program, in accordance with the provisions of Article 58 of 5094/2024 (Α΄ 39), for the academic year 2025-26. The period for submission of candidacies is set from 22/07/2025 to 22/09/2025.

For the academic year 2025-26, it is planned to admit a total of: Twelve (12) students in the Department of Music Studies, Department of Music Performance and Ten (10) students Department of Audio & Visual Arts, Undergraduate Program of Studies.

According to article 58 of Law 5094/2024 (A' 39), the categories of candidates are:

1. Foreign candidates who are graduates of a high school or equivalent school in a third country, based abroad, whose title entitles them to admission to higher education institutions in the country in which they graduate or in the country whose educational program the graduating school follows, provided that: 1a) at least one (1) of the parents of the candidate students does not have Greek citizenship and 1b) they have attended at least the last two (2) years of high school or equivalent school in a foreign country.
2. Foreign candidates who are graduates of a recognized foreign school from third countries, which is legally established and operates in the country, the title of which grants them the right to admission to higher education institutions, which are established in the country whose curriculum the said foreign school of graduation follows, provided that: 2a) they and their parents do not have Greek citizenship and 2b) they have attended at least the last two years of high school with full attendance.
3. Foreign candidates, graduates of high schools or equivalent schools of other European Union member states based abroad, who present a high school diploma or other equivalent secondary education qualification, which entitles them to admission to universities in the country from which they graduated or in the country whose educational program the graduating school follows, provided that: 3a) at least one (1) of the candidates' parents does not have Greek citizenship, 3b) they have attended full-time at least the last two grades of high school or equivalent school in a foreign country.
4. Foreign candidates who are graduates of a recognized foreign school from other member states of the European Union, which is legally based and operates in the country, the title of which grants them the right to admission to universities based in the country whose educational curriculum is followed by the foreign school of graduation in question, provided that: 4a) they and their parents do not have Greek citizenship and 4b) they have attended at least the last two grades of high school with full attendance.
