Erasmus +

The Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University is located in the town of Corfu. An ideal tourist destination for most, Corfu represents a cultural and intellectual center for the academic community since 1824. The town, where numerous art events actively involving students and staff members take place, maintains its cosmopolitan atmosphere within its historical urban architecture. The academic community makes the most of living within the small Corfu society: teaching staff is personally acquainted with students, communicating on a daily basis and closely observing their progress even after their graduation.
Since the beginning of its operation, the Department pursues bilateral collaborations with corresponding European and international educational institutions, especially in the context of the ERASMUS programme. The action programme ERASMUS+ aims at improving the quality of education and reinforcing its European dimension through encouraging the intergovernmental collaboration of university institutions, boosting the higher education student and academic staff mobility, enhancing the transparency of studies and the policies concerning the accreditation of higher education academic degrees in every European Union country.

Thank you for your interest in studying at the Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University under the Erasmus exchange programme. To take part in the Erasmus programme you need to first contact the departmental Erasmus coordinator at your home institution.
