The festival’s main program was complemented, among other events, with students’ presentations of digital interactive audiovisual works/installations as well as artwork presentations by visiting artists such as: Scott Townsend, Irini Athanassaki, Ian Haig, Laura Corcuera and Patrícia Noronha. Two important exhibitions also took place: an exhibition with audiovisual material and documents from recent project of the famous Cypriot-Australian artist Stelarc, followed by an exhibition including photographic and audiovisual material with selected artwork from bioartist Adam Zaretsky.

The first international interdisciplinary conference “Taboo-Transgression-Transcendence in Art & Science” aspiring to invigorate the dialogue on issues around the nature of the forbidden and the liminal, as they are expressed through science and art was also held during the 10th Audiovisual Arts Festival. The conference had as keynote speakers: Roy Ascott, Stelarc and Manos Danezis. An important moment for the Dept. The festival's program included also electronic music concerts by artists from Greece and abroad, workshops and educational events focusing on contemporary artistic expression as well as screenings from DIYsect, The Language Project, Sint Lukas School of Art and Instants Video.
