The 8th Audiovisual Arts Festival has come to an end! During the festival a great number of events, including Installations, Video & Animation Projections, 3D Mapping Projections and Interactive Installations, exhibitions of Drawing, Painting and Comics works, Photography exhibitions, as well as Electroacoustic concerts took place in various locations around the city of Corfu. The public had the opportunity to attend the presentations of the students from the Department of Audio and Visual Arts and the Department of Music Studies. A major event of the festival was the organisation of special thematic workshops by graduates of the AVarts department.

At the same time the organisation of the Symposium “Metamorphoses of Corporeality: Art- Body- Technology” by the Ionian Academy stands as a memorable moment and became a high-level scientific event with participations by important artists and scientists of the New Media, from Greece as much as abroad.

Finally we would like to thank all of you, the audience of the Festival that honoured the program of our events with your presence. On the same note we would like to renew our meeting for next year and the next Audiovisual Arts Festival by giving the promise to maintain the quality standards of the organisation.
