Applications are now open for TTTfellows: Art and Science Residency - Spring 2024, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union and the Ionian University within the Feral Labs Network. Assoc. Prof. Dalila Honorato, Director of the InArts Lab at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University, participates as a member of the organizing committee at the conference FEMeeting: Women in Art, Science and Technology 2024 taking place in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, on June 23-29, 2024.

On 13 and 20 December, 2023 (time 17:00-19:00 pm.), a double-lecture entitled "Semiology of Internet Art" will be given by guest-speaker Dr. Tania Tsiridou (Specialized Teaching Staff of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University), as part of the course "Semiotic Analysis of New Media" (ΜΑ "Audiovisual Arts in the Digital Age"). The fifth Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival ICONA 2023, organized and promoted by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University had exceeded our expectations with more than 1.440 submissions.

Hari Marini, Associate Professor of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at the Ionian University, was keynote speaker to the international conference Tartalo. The VII International Conference on Myth in the Arts organized by the Faculty of Arts, University of the Basque Country, November 2023. Her paper was entitled: "Moving Through Mythical Space: Unknown Terrains and Site-based Performance Practices".

Project Mystery 91_Magnetic Dance, explores the relationship between technology and culture through a series of performances in collaboration with artists from Greece, Japan, and France. The technology for the project was developed within the framework of the HAL research project of the Department of audiovisual Arts at the Ionian University and is presented here for the first time in autonomous, large-scale works.

The fifth international conference Taboo - Transgression - Transcendence in Art & Science will take place September 27–29, 2023 in Valletta, Malta. Approximately 170 speakers from more than 30 countries focused (a) on questions about the nature of the forbidden and about the aesthetics of liminality, and (b) on the opening of spaces for creative transformation in the merging of science and art.
