Prof. at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University, participates as a member of the organizing committee and speaker at the conference FEMeeting: Women in Art, Science and Technology 2023 taking place in Taos and Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, on July 24-30, 2023.

Hari Marini, Associate Professor of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at the Ionian University, participated in Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space 2023 that was held in Prague, June 2023. Hari Marini gave a talk in the panel of PQ Talks 2023: “Feminist Scenographies”, which explored how feminist scenography is expressed in built environments and in different urban geographies.

The aim of the Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival ICONA 2023 is to present the best from the field of animation from all around the world. The festival also aims to preserve and help develop the cultural heritage of animated film, contribute to creation of new films, provide ground for potential international co-productions and encourages dialogue between professionals, filmmakers and the public. The International Multidisciplinary Research Network on the Challenges and Uses of Information and Communication Technologies (EUTIC) has the pleasure to announce the 18th edition of its Annual EUTIC International Conference, which will be held on 11th-13th October 2018 in Bordeaux (France). The 16th collective photo show of students of Laboratory of Photography, Department of Audio-Visual Arts, will be open on the 5th of May at 20:00 at the Venetian Prisons of the Old Fortress. The selection and sequence of pictures has been chosen collectively, through the participants’ collaboration.

The 1st International Festival of Short Documentaries ended on Monday 30 January. The festival was organised by the Creative Documentary Centre of Kalamata and the Kalamata Municipality, hosting guests and participants from 32 countries.

The fifth international conference Taboo - Transgression - Transcendence in Art & Science will take place September 27–29, 2023 in Valletta, Malta. TTT is an interdisciplinary and nomadic event, where both practitioners as well as theorists present and discuss the status of art-science and/or art & technology. TTT, created by Dalila Honorato, Assoc. Professor, Dept Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University, is based on the support of a large informal network of international researchers and practitioners that develop their activities at the edge of art and science intersections. The conference language is English. Proposals must be sent electronically through the EasyChair submissions system until January 31st, 2023.
