The fifth Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival ICONA 2023, organized and promoted by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University had exceeded our expectations with more than 1.440 submissions.

Hari Marini, Associate Professor of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at the Ionian University, was keynote speaker to the international conference Tartalo. The VII International Conference on Myth in the Arts organized by the Faculty of Arts, University of the Basque Country, November 2023. Her paper was entitled: "Moving Through Mythical Space: Unknown Terrains and Site-based Performance Practices".

The fifth international conference Taboo - Transgression - Transcendence in Art & Science will take place September 27–29, 2023 in Valletta, Malta. Approximately 170 speakers from more than 30 countries focused (a) on questions about the nature of the forbidden and about the aesthetics of liminality, and (b) on the opening of spaces for creative transformation in the merging of science and art.

Hari Marini, Associate Professor of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at the Ionian University, participated in Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space 2023 that was held in Prague, June 2023. Hari Marini gave a talk in the panel of PQ Talks 2023: “Feminist Scenographies”, which explored how feminist scenography is expressed in built environments and in different urban geographies.

The International Multidisciplinary Research Network on the Challenges and Uses of Information and Communication Technologies (EUTIC) has the pleasure to announce the 18th edition of its Annual EUTIC International Conference, which will be held on 11th-13th October 2018 in Bordeaux (France). The 16th collective photo show of students of Laboratory of Photography, Department of Audio-Visual Arts, will be open on the 5th of May at 20:00 at the Venetian Prisons of the Old Fortress. The selection and sequence of pictures has been chosen collectively, through the participants’ collaboration.
