In the context of the research activity of the Interactive Arts Laboratory (InArts) of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University, the Art Boulevard search engine was developed by the PhD candidate Minas Pergantis, under the supervision of the Director of the Laboratory Associate Professor Andreas Giannakoulopoulos. Art Boulevard is an academic project aiming to assist with the diffusion of Art and Culture related content, while at the same collecting useful information about the needs and wants of people looking for such content online.

Art Boulevard is a tool for discovering Art and Culture related content online, through combining results from multiple sources like galleries, museums, online collections and other open access repositories. These results include artworks, such as sculptures, paintings, music and more, as well as books and research papers discussing issues related to the Arts and Cultural Heritage.
The Art Boulevard platform uses its innovative technology to access multiple public repositories from galleries, museums and other organizations and collect information to present to the users. The information is enchanced with accessibility and usability features such as text-to-speech, visual search and the ability to save your favorite results in your user profile.
