Participation in the Drawing Contest is simple and requires no financial obligations of the students, on the contrary the 3 best student artists are awarded financially and the 15 best drawings are exposed in 4 prestigious locations. The Drawing Contest is a yearly international contest where students from minimum 450 art universities and university colleges worldwide are invited to create a drawing related to fair play in university sport.

The third free computer game for blind children and adults, the Curve, is completed. The Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University works on developing computer games for blind children, as part of the project LEAP (Listen-Learn-Play).

Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomaios receives an Honorary Doctorate of the Ionian University.

Thursday, December 4th, 2014 and 5 o'clock in the afternoon, in classroom 3, the artist Max Philipp Schmid will present his project in a two-hour speech at the Department of Audio and Vidual Arts. Also, the curator Chantal Molleur will present a Swiss video-artist panorama.

Title of the exhibition: Frenetic Standstill Frenetic Standstill encompass three video installations; Wald (Forest 2007), Der Wanderer (The Wanderer 2007) and Das Gespenst des Glücks (The Ghost of Happiness 2011).
