Elena Hamalidi as keynote speaker for the PDW for Arts and Culture 2014.

The exhibition "Myths, memories and mysteries: how artists respond to the past" of Video artist and Associate Professor of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts Marianne Strapatsaki is being presented at the Museum of Classical Archaeology, Cambridge, from 1st of July until 23rd of October 2014.

The inauguration of the exhibition of Drawing, Painting and Comic works by the students of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University will take place at the Municipal Gallery of Corfu (Palace of St. Michael and St. George) on Wednesday May 14, at 19:30. The exhibition will be open until Sunday May 18 and will be open 9.00–16.00.

The Visual Dialogues 2013, which the Onassis Cultural Centre is staging for the third time, mark the 150th anniversary of the birth and 80th anniversary of the death of the great poet, C.P. Cavafy (1863-1933). Participating artist is the graduate of the AVarts Dept. Bill Psarras.

On Friday 17th January, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Department of Audiovisual Arts will take place a lecture based on contemporary art. Guest Speaker: Kostas Christopoulos, artist.

On Thursday 16th January 2014 at 9:00 p.m. will be held a lecture on contemporary art for the course History of Art II entitled The 4th Biennale of Athens.

The seminar will be held on Monday 9th December and Tuesday 10th December 2013.

Marianne Strapatsakis, painter and video artist, is participating in two major art events in France and in England.
