Assistant Professor in the Avarts Dept. Konstantinos Tiligadis participates in the exhibition “Receptor – into the sack” focuses on things of significant personal value according to the way we choose to confess or hide them, in an outside-to-inside process.
Preparing one’s home to accept a guest, carefully packaging an object, finding the right place to put something heavy as well as finding the appropriate kit to enshrine and carry a valuable item. The meanings of ‘basis’ and ‘support’, the negative space or the imprint of an object on space, inhabited or soon to be inhabited places, things, ideas, memories, secrets.
There is something sacred about them, they are results or causes for rituals and they allude to the relation between vessel and content, either this relation is functional or not.
By way of the above, the exhibition touches the subjects of necessity, value, importance and choice through the various versions of the participating artists, thus forming a dialogue both at a level of theme and that of artistic language.
