The performance (Portrait) presents how easily a person can lose themselves through constant engagement with social media. It focuses on the isolation from reality, the need for social acceptance and also the pressure that social media places on younger generations. This is an issue that many people experience often without realising it, while at the same time it is an everyday occurrence that is not addressed enough in today's society. This performance was created inspired by personal experience of this situation and at the same time, the need for artistic expression. It is divided into four stages, using staticity, repetition, and various materials (both digital and physical) to create a multimedia performance and a multi-sensory experience. Through these stages, the performance shows how a person gradually disconnects from reality, searches for their true identity, and eventually finds it. How can someone remove the marks that social media leave? And what impact do they have on a person's mental health?
