The work titled "Void of Memory" is a hybrid between a photo book and a poetry collection. It was created with the goal of enhancing the communication between text and image, promoting a more direct dialogue between the viewer and the artwork. Its central theme is the concept of the void of memory, which is explored through various aspects and expressions. The work includes 7 poems and 17 photographs, carefully selected to create a cohesive narrative around themes such as loneliness, inequality, the wear and tear of time, and modern communication. All of these themes converge in the realm of the void of memory.
The choice of photographs focuses on the element of water, as the creation of the work was geographically and thematically based in Corfu. Water, which dominates the island, serves as a connecting link and inspires the aesthetic of the work. From the initial concept to its final form, "Void of Memory" highlights this element, emphasizing the timelessness and flow of memory.
The theme of the void of memory remains, and will continue to remain, a constant source of inspiration. This provided an opportunity for the work to be presented through the course "Art of Technical Images." Thus, the work transitioned from theoretical conception to practical application, managing to capture the essence of the void of memory in a unique and multi-dimensional way.
