In this project, I chose to work with Satur-nine by Lali Puna, exploring its rhythmic and atmospheric qualities through motion graphics.
I selected a monochrome palette—white, various shades of gray, and a black background. This choice distances the visuals from the aesthetic of the track, emphasizing movement and form. The absence of strong colors enhances its rhythmic and atmospheric dimension, creating a more introspective experience.
The animation structure was divided into bass, rhythm, and melody, with each element receiving a distinct visual approach. The melody is depicted through four sets of nested squares, which rotate and change in size and transparency, capturing the pulse and echo of the track. This approach balances structure and improvisation, translating sound into motion in an abstract and atmospheric way.
