BREAKWATER was created as part of the [AVA342] Performance Art course of the Department of Audio & Visual Arts (Ionian University, Corfu).
Who are we when life reminds us that time on earth is not by our side? Who are we when life has nothing else to remind us, not even our own self… not even our face in a mirror? The human experience could be a trap, could be releasing us from Something, but human experience surely has some soft of end (?).
In a mystical atmosphere, the performer explores these issues and hopes to answer them; however, it’s more important to bring these issues to the table than answer them.
BREAKWATER discusses issues such as human identity and perception of self in accordance with time; birth-creation and death-release; mortal interests and problems that keep humans trapped in a state of existing rather than living.
