The documentary deals with the New Year's Eve family dinner table that takes place in my dad's village every year. On a deeper level and through my perspective emerge sub-themes somewhat ironic to the long-awaited "Christmas spirit" that tends to be idealized both by the media and by the Greek tradition itself. Thus, the details of typical conversations and gestures reveal unpleasant aspects about the notion of family and the exclusion of the elderly with problems from family activities, the passive formality and lack of cordiality that lurks at family tables, just like in ours.
