The content of the specific paper is based on research and practical exercise upon methods of theater and storytelling related to applied theatre, collective processes and art therapy. In this paper, forms of theater related to community work and socio-political transformation through recording stories are analysed. The work of artists who act methodically with the aim of empowering communities and developing art therapy is also examined. Reference is made to "Gestalt" theory and practices used during the therapeutic processes. The narrative process, and specifically the 'Storytelling' tool in the artistic process is analysed. The research questions refer to theater and the way in which each genre has been approached by artists and groups including the performance methods and techniques themselves. Furthermore, theoretical approaches are explored through practice, which includes the creation and implementation of an artistic workshop based on physical work, storytelling, writing, individual and collective expression.
