This audiovisual work is a politicized work that criticizes the use of plastic in our
society today and how "plastic/fake" it has become. The audio part of this work
consists of pre-recorded sounds from various plastic objects as well as sounds from
factories producing plastic objects. The reuse of the sound material reflects the
concept of recycling. The same happens in the visual part of the work, which is a
collage-video of various images and videos with the same theme. While the work is
being performed, the listener is able to actively participate in the work itself by
playing various rhythmic patterns on plastic objects whenever he/she deems it
appropriate/useful. In this way the concept of recycling becomes evident again. The
critical perspective of the work gradually takes on a more cynical approach and
presents us with the facts poignantly. The electro-acoustic part of the work was
composed by Sophia Emmanouilidou and the visual part was created by Kostas
Doulmatzis.
