In a dystopian future a reminder of a tragically dysfunctional reality is presented as a video sculpture. The goal is to lead the viewer towards the discovery of another reality, a possible evolution of the present one. A memory imprinted on marble in the form of an animated code, like a mosaic, a fresco that has just come to light, charges the viewer with the burden of discovery and the effort of interpretation. A mosaic of animated pictures, scenes, compose a symbolic alphabet, a code, based on the work of the American writer Ursula K. LeGuin, and in particular the political novel "The Anarchist of the Two Worlds" and the works of "Transparency" and "Transparency Society" Society of Fatigue » by the Korean philosopher Byung-Chul Khan. This video looks at the course of the modern man through the constant pursuit of just being and not well-being, towards non-existence. Follows his course towards becoming the human tool of a growing system that he created himself. Is describing a hysterical model constructed out of materials such as "speed" and "quantity of information", disrespect for diversity, that is moving away from spirituality. The society in which we live is a Hell of " the same". Isolation, narcissistic self-realization and introspective repetition through the illusion of exaltation, is highlighted by the elongated yet capped vertical arrangement and imprinted on a medium, real, in an effort to create substance to something immaterial , stirring the space-time by implying the end . It is a "silent" project, without unnecessary or excessive movements. It is a place of "silence" that allows us to stand and meditate, turning the screening into a ritual. Like a time traveler in a different dimension, the viewer is called upon to "discover" the artist's statement and to think.Creative: Eleni Moustaka Featuring: |Constantinos S.
