This is the first video of my audiovisual installation entitled "Riot Strike Riot". The audiovisual installation entitled "Riot Strike Riot" is based on the political repression and social disorders of recent years with a focus on Greece, but also with influences from abroad. Giorgos Gargalas
George Gargalas lives and works in Athens as an audiovisual artist and performer in combination with a wide range of artistic media. Focusing on sound, his work explores the relationship between contemporary music creation with video art, installations and performance. Working with topics such as human-computer interaction, political art and sound sculpture, his pieces are framed in a wide range of conceptual art with aesthetics from electro-acoustic music and video art. In his installations spectators are aimed to actively participate in the artwork through interactive tools such as microphones and motion sensors. He graduated from the Department of Audio and Visual Arts in Corfu in 2018 and from the Postgraduate Department of the Music University of Athens, specializing in "Music Creation for New Media" in 2021. The digital audio performance Bitvox in collaboration with Orestis Karamanlis won the 2nd prize in the Mixed Media category at the international Matera Intermedia Festival in Italy.
