6th Festival of Audiovisual Arts
Corfu, 24-27 May 2012
The Department of Audio & Visual Arts and the Department of Music Studies (Electroacoustic Music Research and Applications Lab, EPHMEE) of Ionian University are mutually organising the 6th AVARTS Festival. This year’s festival focuses on ‘art in the city’. Through a variety of artistic, educational and scientific actions that are taking place throughout the old city of Corfu, the results of the scientific and researching activity of the two Departments in the subject of modern arts of video and sound will be presented. There will also be theories and theamatologies developed regarding the incorporation of the modern technologies of sound and image in art.
The schedule of the festival will include electroacoustic concerts, live audiovisual works, a series of installations and exhibitions-viewings of student projects. The Festival will take place in Corfu from 24th until the 27th of May.
The entrance is free in all exhibitions.
