Some Assembly Required is an interactive piece that can also function as an animation. Small visual objects float across the screen in a calm, rhythmic motion, creating a meditative experience. The viewer can choose to simply watch or engage by moving, resizing, recoloring, rotating, and multiplying these elements, forming new shapes and combinations. A playful and open-ended puzzle, it offers no predefined solution—only the user's perception and interaction shape the outcome.
Dialekti Valsamou-Stanislawski
Dialekti Valsamou-Stanislawski is an artist and researcher exploring the relationship between humans and technology through digital arts, speculative design, and participatory practices. With a background in artificial intelligence and research, her work integrates sound, video, installations, and interactive elements to create multidimensional narratives. She focuses on hybridity, temporality, and cultural storytelling, examining the intersections of memory, computation, and mythology. Her practice navigates the useful, the obsolete, and the repurposed, questioning identity, transformation, and the boundaries between the organic and the synthetic. Having worked extensively in research and innovation, she brings a critical yet hands-on approach to creation. She holds a PhD in Computer Science, a Master's from ENSCI–Les Ateliers, and is currently pursuing an MA in Digital Arts at the Athens School of Fine Arts, merging research with artistic practice.
