Active Spaces

ACTIVE SPACES - REFORMATION OF THE PERCEPTUAL SPACE THROUGH POTENTIAL DIGITAL REVELATIONS THE CASE OF AUGMENTED REALITY.

In the present research work we will try to approach the concept of space, how it takes form and substance, as well as how it contributes decisively to the morphological process towards the actualization of a work of art with the use of new means and technologies. The concepts of matter - substance and those of immaterial - emptiness - digital are fundamental elements for understanding space in modern times. But what is space? And what is its emptiness? Man understands space through her/his senses, moves within it and interacts with it, thus s/he becomes aware of it. What is the atmosphere? Is it a way of communication between space and man? The Light, the Sound and the Heat as particles - waves, flow and reflect at the boundaries of space, which only happens because the emptiness of space allows it. Man does not see the motion of these particles, but comprehend the result of their movements.
The artistic proposal - research is based on the above and aims to reveal those we do not see in space and at their combined tangible experience using an application of Augmented Reality. The application will display virtual 3D animated graphics with sound, in the physical structured space, placing the viewer as an active co-creator of the project experience.
Space is no longer empty, but full of waves, particles, structures and forms that pulsate, flow and oscillate, approaching the dimension of atmosphere and space. In the form of light, the structures are revealed and absorbed in a game of constant confrontation with time and space. Sounds, masses, movements and proportions, create an abstract rhythmic code of communication that focuses on stimulating the viewer's senses.
