The project Being an Artist is a short film with documentary elements. The artist's reflections and concerns about the birth of a painting are captured in a spontaneous recording of associative thoughts and highlight the connection between the creative process inherent in both nature and art.
Vivi Perysinaki
Vivi Perysinaki studied Painting at ASFA ( Prof. Tr. Patraskidis), Graphic Design and Animation at TEI of Athens,
and Tapestry at FBAUL, Portugal. She is a founding member and curator of the artist collectives The Red Boat
Projects and We33 by Artia Gallery. She has worked in animated feature films, as well as an art teacher. She has
been a panel member in conferences held by the Art Teachers’ Association and her articles have been published
in the yearly magazine Visual Education. In her installations she incorporates weaving, crochet and macrame
techniques, while an important part of her work focuses on issues of gender identity, equality and violence.
