Vivi Perysinaki
In the project The Aphrodite in Me the transformation stages of a female torso take us through phases of female nature, from the beauty of early youth, to pregnancy, motherhood, trauma, loss and the old age. The project poses questions concerning issues of gender and identity, the image of the female body as a recipient of social imperatives and aesthetic standards, but also as a bearer of emotional trauma.
