The AVARTS Live Game Hub will take place in the Corfu’s Public Garden aspiring to become a pole of attraction for students, children, residents, visitors, and tourists of Corfu who want to spend their time happily through entertainment and information. There will be games of various kinds and themes implemented by students and teachers of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University. This year's entries include board games, computer games, Augmented Reality games, and Live Role-playing games with puzzles, plot, and fantasy elements, as well as subjects from the history and cultural heritage of the island of Corfu.
The AVARTS Live Game Hub is an action that aims to bring together new game designers and creators and promote their ideas to the public. It is organized by teachers of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts with a coordinating core of Vasileios Komianos, Varvara Garnelis, and Emmanouel Rovithis, and participated by students who are actively involved in creating games. It focuses on the design and process of play by bringing together new designers-creators and players willing to play together and exchange ideas that will make the games more interesting and fun.
