Giota Kotika

The main element of the project is based on language The work is divided into three sections that focus on the discussion of "strangeness," which many writers, poets, as well as philosophers, psychoanalysts - starting with Freud - have spoken about and analyzed in its various forms. In a more specific situation, which Julia Kristeva calls Strangers to Ourselves, alienation towards the "other" seems to expand, loneliness grows, hostility swells. He is the stranger we see as the Other, different from our narcissistic idol, and whom we reject as all that is outside of us and respond with his destruction. into a violent world that refuses to see the face in the mirror. But the common language, the words with power, are the ones that sound in the dark, they can even awaken the hidden consciences that seek the sense of intimacy between the Ego and the Other.
