"The ruins of an old house: dust, old paint, broken glass, debris.. Instead of hiding the past, these reveal the light and life beyond the actual space, beyond the obvious “here and now”. Broken materials and ruptures can be thought of as cracks of time through which one can see, hear and feel the energy of the past. The work has been initiated during a visit to an old building in Corfu. A sonic interaction with its materials has been found very interesting and evocative in bringing out the “life” included amongst the sounding objects and space. This “parallel universe” of composed music, symbolizes the living energy of the space: an energy that cannot be seen but can be felt.
The work has been selected as finalist at the MUSICA NOVA 2020 international electroacoustic music competition"
