The 7th International Conference on Digital Culture & AudioVisual Challenges (DCAC 2025) is just around the corner, and this year marks a significant step forward in both scale and scope.

The first Audiovisual Arts Festival was organized in Corfu in May 2006 by the Department of Audio and Visual Arts. The festival celebrated essentially the artistic creativity of the students of the new department of the Ionian University, launched in 2004. The program included art events (installations, interactive works, visual arts and photography exhibitions as well as concerts in collaboration with the Department of Music Studies), a 1-day symposium on the subject of “Digital Technology and Audiovisual Arts” and workshops. The venues were: Ionian Academy, Aretaios Building within the Old Psychiatric Hospital of Corfu and the Municipal Gallery in collaboration with the Corfu Municipality.
