The Audiovisual Signal Processing Laboratory EP.OA.SI. of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts successfully presented its research projects at the 86th Thessaloniki International Exhibition.
The participation of EP.OA.SI. in the Pavilion of the Ionian University comprised the interactive demonstration of applications for mobile devices (tablets), aiming at education and entertainment, based on audio interaction, accessible to people with visual impairments.
More specifically, the following Audio Games were presented:
- Audio Legends
Augmented Reality Audio Game, in which players use the mobile device to discover, aim, and hit virtual sounds.
- Audio Memory
Audio Memory Game, in which players flip cards to reveal pairs of identical sounds.
Children, parents, students, teachers, as well as representatives of educational organizations, played the games of EP.OA.SI. and provided valuable feedback on the game experience and its educational potential.
