Maria Aslanidi is Laboratory Teaching Personnel at the Dept. of Audio & Visual Arts - Faculty of Music and Audiovisual Arts – Ionian University. Her professional teaching and research experience focuses amongst others on artistic research and information technologies with emphasis on arts. She writes scholarly monographs on disciplines related to her research interests. Some affiliations include the following:
- Member of the RDA Translations Working Group.
- Vice-chair of the Cataloging and Metadata Section-CMS of IAML
- National representative and member of the Advocacy Committee of IAML
- IAML Representative to the Permanent UNIMARC Committee-PUC in IFLA
- Chair of the Annotated Exemplars of Music Cataloguing with RDA/LRM in UNIMARC project of the IAML Cataloguing and Metadata Section-CMS
