Maria Aslanidi, teaching staff at the Dept. of Audio & Visual Arts, is a member of the Organizing Committee of the Annual Conference of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (IAML), which will be held in Thessaloniki from 28 June to 3 July 2026.
A brief description
The community of Greek music libraries and archives is delighted to host the Annual Congress of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (IAML) in Thessaloniki for the first time in Greece, between 28 June and 3 July 2026.
IAML encourages and promotes the activities of music libraries, archives and documentation centres, aiming to support and facilitate the implementation of projects in the fields of music bibliography, music documentation, music librarianship and information science at national and international levels.
In 2026, we will also celebrate the 75th anniversary of IAML and the 10th anniversary of the National Branch (GR-IAML), with additional celebratory events during the conference.
Members of the Congress Committees are planning and organising the Congress to welcome music librarians, archivists and musicologists from around the world. We invite you to participate in a rich program of scientific presentations, workshops and various accompanying events.
