Here you can find the programme and practical info regarding your stay during the Taboo-Transgression-Transcendence (TTT) in Art & Science 2025 Conference in Ljubljana.
The sixth international TTT conference will take place between 9 and 13 September 2025. All TTT2025 Ljubljana events taking place between 9 and 12 September 2025 will be held at the Kino Šiška Centre for Urban Culture in Ljubljana. In addition to these events, on 13 September 2025, TTT2025 Ljubljana will present a special art show in the Karst region.

For transportation from Jože Pučnik Airport (Brnik) to Ljubljana city centre, you can choose NOMAGO or GoOpti, rent a car from a variety of providers, take a bus (€4.10, runs hourly, ~45 min to the main bus station) or take a taxi. The bus and train stations are adjacent to each other, both located at Trg osvobodilne fronte in the city centre.

ACCOMMODATION
Since the conference takes place in Kino Šiška (Trg prekomorskih brigad 3), we recommend staying nearby for convenience. Here are some options:

TRANSPORTATION IN THE INNER CITY
→ Walking
Ljubljana is relatively small and walkable. City Centre is relatively traffic free. However, Kino Siska is at the center of the Siska quarter and you might want to consider taking a bus or sharing a cab for a commute to your chosen location in the Centre. But walking is also fine and only takes about 25 minutes, mostly depending on your group size and energy levels.
→ Public Transport (Bus, LPP)
You can pay your fare on a LPP bus directly with a debit card or by an Urbana card with preloaded credit or with Urbana Mobile app. You will not be able to pay the driver in cash. For simple jumps you can just use your Mastercard / Visa, as long as you can prove the transaction.
The Urbana card is available from LPP ticket offices (LPP Passenger Centre on 56 Slovenska Cesta, opened Monday—Friday: 8 AM – 3.30 PM, Wednesday: 8 AM – 5 PM, closed on weekends, and at the Ljubljana bus station on 4 Trg Osvobodilne fronte, opened 6 AM – 8 PM every day, including the weekends and holidays), tourist information centres and most of the city's newspaper kiosks, news-stands and post offices. The card is priced at €2.00, a single journey fare is €1.30. It covers an up to 90-minute journey regardless of the number of buses needed to be changed to reach the destination.

→ Bicycle-sharing platform BicikeLJ
The BicikeLJ is a cheap bicycle-sharing system that gives you an opportunity to hire bikes from self-service terminals located across the wider Ljubljana city centre. The only cost involved is the fee for compulsory online registration with the system, which stands at €1.00 for a week and €3.00 for a year and must be completed in advance of hiring. To complete your registration at BicikeLJ, you need to download the BicikeLJ app to use the Ljubljana bike-sharing system. Enter your email address and credit card number. When the transaction is completed, you will receive your subscriber number and a four-digit personal identification number (PIN) to be entered when hiring a bicycle.
Bicycle hire is free for the first hour, after which it costs €1.00 for the second hour, €2.00 for the third hour and €4.00 for each additional hour.

The starting fee ranges from €0.80 to €1.50, and the price per kilometre usually ranges from €0.70 to €1.70.

Uber is new to Ljubljana and is still facing difficulties and long waiting times.

The Ljubljana Basic Emergency First Aid Infirmary (SNMP) for adults is available 24/7 and is located in the Emergency Department of the Ljubljana University Medical Centre (entrance from Bohoričeva ulica Street).
For urgent medical assistance in life-threatening situations at home, in traffic accidents or in other situations, call the free telephone number 112, meanwhile, the police are available at the number 113.
