"Still Water" is a video art project that refers to the "bystander effect", combining analogue photography, performance, black and white and colorful videos in the same one-shot. Somewhere in a secluded forest, a Waterfall keeps flowing down a lake inhabited by powerful, yet unbothered, Headless Nymphs. Beneath said lake, an upside down city, with houses made out of cardboard, lies. As the the Waterfall keeps flowing down the lake, a crack in the bottom of the basin causes the upside down city to slowlly fill up with water. Through this whole ordeal, the Headless Nymphs keep lying by the water, unbothered by the tragedy taking place right beneath them. The Waterfall keeps flowing down, as the upside down city slowly fades away, as if it has never existed.
Technical aspects: duration 2:50 min, color format, stereo sound, 1920x1080 resolution, 25 fps.
