This poetic documentary explores enduring love and devotion as they are expressed through small, steadfast rituals that persist beyond time and loss. It is inspired by my grandmother’s absence over the past six months and by the quiet habits my grandfather continues to keep—gestures that carry her presence into the present. Since childhood, I remember my grandmother’s kitchen always graced by a vase of roses that my grandfather had picked for her—a simple yet profound ritual that began in their youth and endured throughout their lives. At its core, the film reflects on the solitude of an elderly man after the loss of his beloved, the offering of a rose as an intimate act of love, and the human need to remain connected with those who are no longer physically present. The rose becomes a symbol of continuity, tracing the cycle of life and the unfolding journey of a lifelong romance.
