My work is based on the heterotopia of the Real and the Imaginary. It begins with a half-open door, suggesting an interruption of thought. The use of a rapid walking pace along a cliff edge conveys a sense of being on the brink of a void, where there is no possibility to pause and reflect.
Furthermore, the abrupt changes of frames create visual unease and a loss of stability. Shots of abandoned buildings evoke a fragmented world, while people moving in opposite directions generate disorientation and social confusion. The use of dark tones expresses the inability to fully comprehend space, and within the heterotopic condition, it functions as a passage—from the real to the uncanny.
Additionally, clips of ships suggest a loss of control, while the flickering light reflects the fragmentation of perception, disorientation, and the suspension of time.
The video attempts to show how, within a public space, confusion, the real, and the imaginary coexist. Public space does not follow a linear logic, but rather resembles a shattered mirror.
