Discrimination for Katerina Avraam at ASIFA Hellas Animation Contest for her work entitled The Ordeal

The third free computer game for blind children and adults, the Curve, is completed. The Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University works on developing computer games for blind children, as part of the project LEAP (Listen-Learn-Play).

The Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University offers a Doctoral Studies Programme which presents specialization in the main Department’s study fields. These study fields include forms of audiovisual expression, with the use of up to date technology and the technologies regarding the production of sound and image with emphasis on their application on the artistic, communicative and educational field.

Creativity, health and happiness are some of the warmest wishes for this festive season from the President of the Dept AVarts Dept, Associated Professor Andreas Floros, and Administrative staff, mrs. Niki Alevizaki and mrs. Georgia Apostolopoulou. The Secretariat of the Dept AVarts will remain closed from 24 Dec 2015 until 08 Jan 2016. Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Omega is a “strategic partnership” financed by the European Commission and coordinated by Yaşar University of Izmir. Its subject is the employability of arts graduates. In the course of the partnership 30 students and 10-15 teachers from the following European institutions will take part in an ‘intensive pilot course’ on Art and Music Students in Business.
