The Language Projectteam is organizing a two-day introductory subtitling workshop. Translatιον VS Sync: Subtitling software, theory and practice. How does it work? What about subtitling in Greece? Ask questions. Get involved. Make suggestions.
This workshop is part of a larger program aiming at networking of young language aficionados. We organize events and workshops in Corfu, Athens and Thessaloniki with partners from Greece, Germany and Spain.
Roll up your sleeves: Team work starts now! Get into groups and work on specific English and German films. With the support of the Ionian University (Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpretation and Department of AudioVisual Arts), the Goethe Institut Athen and the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, all the films will be screened during the 10th Audiovisual Arts Festival, as well as in different events in Corfu.
Who can apply?
Young men and women of different backgrounds, with good command of English and/or German who want to learn, be introduced to the professional world and become members of a youth cultural network sharing a passion for languages and audiovisual art.
How can I apply?
Send your motivation letter explaining why you want to join the workshop (250 words max.), naming the language/-s you speak and your contact details to: thelanguagepjt@gmail.com. Our experts will choose up to 15 participants eager to work with us!
