The Department of Audio and Visual Arts and the Department of Music Studies (Lab for Electroacoustic Music Research and Applications - EPHMEE) of the Ionian University organize the 7th Audiovisual Arts Festival 2013, 20-30 June 2013, at Corfu.
EPHMEE continues from June 25 to 30 it’s “ Sound and City ” initiative, exploring this thematic by means of presentation of electroacoustic music works, seminars and lectures by distinguished international artists and researchers, in collaboration with the EU project Listening Cities.

City the space, City the place, City the live organism with its own history and tradition, consisting of ecosystems and individuals who coexist immersed in the Sound they produce and they receive.
Exploring the ramifications of the sonic aspects of the City, EPHMEE, the Electroacoustic Music Research Lab of Ionian University's Music Department, organizes a series of Concerts, Workshops and Seminars as a part of the 7th Audiovisual Arts Festival 2013 in collaboration of the Departments of Audio & Visual Arts and participates to the 4th Summer Academy of the Department of Music Studies.

Under the 7th Audiovisual Arts Festival, an Art two-day symposium with papers and art presentations (21-22 June 2013) is organized with title Art and Interculturality in the Mediterranean Region: departing from antiquity – looking towards the future.
Submissions are welcome from theoretical scientific fields related with audiovisual arts and from different means of artistic expression related to new media, with emphasis on contemporaneous intercultural exchanges.
