Invited by the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, and within the framework of the International Scientific Conference “Society. Technologies. Solutions.”, held under the umbrella of E³UDRES² SCIENCE in Valmiera, Latvia, Dr. Emmanouel Rovithis, lecturer and researcher at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, will deliver a talk titled:
“Hyper Kafka: Rooms of Memory — An Immersive Hypertext Fiction Installation for Teaching and Disseminating Literature.”
The talk focuses on the interactive installation “Hyper Kafka”, an educational virtual environment featuring hypertext works created by students of the Pedagogical and Didactical Sufficiency Certification Program (PDSP) of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, as part of the course “Augmentation Technologies in School Curricula”. The works emerged from the study of Kafka’s texts and their creative reinterpretation through Internet-based multimedia technologies.
The course is taught by Agni Papadopoulou, Emmanouel Rovithis, and Vasilis Komianos, teaching staff of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts.
