The Master of Research (MARes) in Hybrid Arts by the Ionian University (IU) is proud to announce its Winter School 2024-2025 “Methodology of Hybrid Arts” schedule, taking place from March 31 to April 4, 2025, at the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA) Annex in Hydra. This initiative is co-organized by the InArts Laboratory of the IU and the C' Sculpture Studio of ASFA, facilitating cross-institutional collaboration.

The Catharsis Theater Group makes its debut by presenting the original play "Ο Θεός των Σκουπιδιών" directed and written by Aris Kakleas. Tatiana Yfanti, a student of the MARes in Hybrid Arts program, participates in this project as an assistant director as well as a video and graphic designer.

Within the course Project Sustainability, Adam Zaretsky will present his work on Transpecies Art, a provocative and experimental approach to bio-art that challenges the boundaries between human and non-human life. His work explores interspecies communication, genetic modification, and the ethical implications of biotechnological interventions in art.

During 2023-2025, the RC network partners will issue 8 grants every year, each with up to 1400 EURO support (incl. possible taxes). The form of support (e.g., fee or reimbursement) will be discussed individually. Artists, researchers and technologists can apply for mobility or mobility-related work support which destinations go beyond the RC network partners. The proposed activity needs to happen in 2025. We welcome applications from professionals in all stages of their careers. The application deadline is March 31st at 22:59 CEST / 23:59 EEST.
