This piece was comissioned by the Institute of Music Electroacosutic of Bourges (IMEB) in 2009, and It was composed in Charibde studio. It was finalist in Destellos composition contest in Argentina.
Gregorio Jiménez Payá is Professor of Electroacoustic Composition at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Valencia, as well as the founder and director of its Electroacoustic Laboratory (LEA) since its inception in 1995. He has served as President of the Spanish Electroacoustic Music Association (AMEE) since October 2006 and as a Board Member of the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (CIME) under the auspices of UNESCO.
As a composer, he has received commissions from various institutions, including the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the Institute of Electroacoustic Music of Bourges (IMEB), and the Valencian Institute of Music. He has been a guest composer at the Elektronmusikstudion (EMS) in Stockholm, and in 2009, his work Le secret des petits sons received an honorable mention at the Bourges International Competition.
Currently, he combines his creative compositional work with live performance, frequently collaborating with saxophonist Josep Lluís Galiana. He has participated in numerous international festivals, such as NWEAMO (San Diego, USA), Primavera en La Habana (Cuba), Ensems, Audio Art (Krakow), Sete Sóis Sete Luas, Mostra Sonora de Sueca, and the 20th Electroacoustic Days in Córdoba (Argentina).
