HER SHADOW
Event Title: History of Cinema
Date and Time: 14/05/2026 (21:30)
Location: Politechno
Maria Fragkopoulou
A short animated film inspired by the movement of German Expressionism in cinema. It conveys a dark, psychologically charged aesthetic and thematic approach. Its central themes include horror, insecurity, alienation, the supernatural, and, more broadly, the darker side of human existence. The protagonist’s personal nightmare becomes reality when she experiences a psychological breakdown and her alter ego emerges: her shadow—the darker, deeper self—gains autonomy and turns against her, ultimately overpowering her completely.
