Salemoulogato; another nickname for my cat Salem. He has known me for his whole life, meanwhile I have only known him for the last two and a half years of mine. My living with him has allowed me to get to know him and adjust my home and daily life in a way that accommodates us both without raising issues. In Salem’s portrait I chose to showcase his favorite daily habits in relation to other people in the house and the environment around him, without omitting situations that highlight how fearful of a cat he is and how annoying he can become at times. Through the “unpredictable” editing that emerges from Salem’s movements, one discovers his habits and reactions to his surrounding environment, as well as to the spotlight of publicity.
