Does God Bleed of Static is an interactive video projection installation that explores faith, distortion, and digital transformation. The work features a manipulated and glitched video recording of a “blood-crying” statue of the Virgin Mary as its central backdrop. In front of this projected image, 3D models of Catholic religious statues such as figures of the Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary are rendered and continuously morph using a distance sensor. The work situates faith within an era of digital overload, where meaning is shaped by sensors, feedback loops, and mediated presence. divine transmission is no longer absolute. It is not absent it is unstable. Reverence flickers through glitches, fragments, and repetitions, suggesting that faith persists not as certainty, but as a fragile signal struggling to remain audible. The work asks whether transcendence can survive digital saturation, or whether it bleeds into noise, reshaped by the very systems meant to carry it.
