A boy, Marios, enters different taxis again and again.
Each ride is short, ordinary, almost insignificant.
The taxi driver, a familiar and stereotypical figure, talks a lot: he asks, comments, assumes, categorizes.
Faced with this “neutral” gaze of a stranger, Marios never tells the same story about himself.
Sometimes he hides, sometimes he adapts, sometimes he performs a role that protects him.
Only once does he tell the truth.
The film reflects on the violence embedded in everyday conversation, and on how the social gaze compels individuals to construct identities in order to survive — especially when they inhabit bodies, genders, and desires that are judged before they even speak.
