This presentation concerns the interactive installation “Transforming Presence: An Interactive Installation of Proximity and Pulse”, which explores the relationship between body, perception, and technology. The work uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect the viewer’s proximity, translating physical presence into dynamic audiovisual responses.
Distance functions as a variable that directly shapes the rhythm and intensity of the experience. Light is structured in pulsating patterns resembling a heartbeat, while sound is activated and transformed in real time.
On a theoretical level, the work approaches experience as a bodily process, where the viewer is not a passive observer but an active part of the installation.
The installation shifts the viewer from observation to participation, where presence becomes rhythm and experience unfolds as a continuous process of becoming.
