Anthroporio takes place in an optimistic environment that is constantly being destroyed by humanity’s choices.

Anthroporio is a hideous little humanoid who represents artificial intelligence, to which we give “food” and it becomes more and more intelligent. Its food is represented by the nature around it, as L.L.M.s require large amounts of water to run and generally contribute to the destruction of the environment. The work mocks humanity and how it manages scientific progress. It represents the curiosity "that killed the cat". We constantly try to push the limits of our nature and reach new heights as humans.

I was inspired by the alchemical term “homunculus”, which in Greek translates as little man or anthropario (artificial small human creatures with fantastic artistic abilities, their purpose was to help their creator).

The aesthetics of the project refer to the old aesthetics of Windows, as it promised the liberation of people, the new and fresh era, an optimism for the future. New technologies today push this promise further and further away from us.
